A SEASONAL (MAY - SEPTEMBER) Fishery that can be as aggressive as it is relaxing.
Fishing the Shallow, Sandy Bottom Waters of the Bay with light gear as we drift is the way to catch the California Halibut. These Flat fish average 10 - 20 pounds each and can get Larger. The California Halibut is Legal to catch at any time of the Year, but the results tend to be better during the summer. The Catch Limit is 3 per person over 22".
A Good Firm Meat, The California Halibut can be prepared many different ways to make a Fabulous Meal!

- Halibut is a flatfish related to the Flounder and are commonly found in the cold portions of the Pacific Ocean Halibut are active and voracious, feeding principally on fish and the larger crustaceans.
- A Popular fish, Halibut are longer, thicker, and heavier than any of the other flatfishes. Makes an Excellent meal and is great baked, broiled or grilled.
