07 - 05 - 2011 -- The Monterey Bay experienced Fabulous, Sunny Weather today as the Whale Watch Boats ventured out to observe the Blue Whales and Humpback Whales Feed Together throughout the Bay. The Blue Whales even showed off their Massive Fluke (Tail) for all - A great Photo Op for those who remembered their Cameras :)
07 - 04 - 2011 -- HAPPY FOURTH of JULY!!! -- What a Blistery Day on Monterey Bay for the Whale Watching! The Wind presented a Challenge but we were still able to Enjoy Sightings of Blue Whales & Humpback Whales as they fed on the Rich Nutrients offered. Veiwers were also given the Very Rare Opportunity to See the Blue Whale display their Pectoral Fins Slapping (Like -"Waving Hello" to all) the Water.

06 - 25 - 2011 -- Capt Vic piloted the 'Sur Randy' Thru the Monterey Bay to give Whale Watchers an Exciting trip as they observed Dahls Porpoise, Blue Whales and Humpback Whales as they Displayed Breaching, Tail Lobbing, The Pectoral Slapping, an unusal "Head Bobbing technique". Quite a Day!!

07 - 05 - 2011 -- With Much better #Monterey Bay Fishing Weather today, the 9 anglers aboard the 'CHUBASCO' had an Interesting Day #fishing for #Salmon- After a Full day they had Missed 9 Salmon, Returned 6 undersized Salmon and ended their day with 2 Salmon Keepers. Tomorrow is another Day :)
07 - 04 - 2011 -- HAPPY FOURTH of JULY!!! -- With the Weather Challenges faced by the Monterey Bay Fishing fleet today, The Rock Cod was tough - However the 13 Anglers Aboard the 'CHUBASCO' did Manage to Catch their Limits - Capt. Brian said they were mostly the 'School Fish' & included 7 Vermillion (aka Red Snapper) -Unfortunately there were No Keeper Lings today
07 - 03 - 2011 -- Much Nicer Weather for the Monterey Bay Sport Fishing arena today. With a bit of residual Swell left over from Yesterday's weather the Rock Cod were not biting as well. 'Chubasco''s 39 Anglers returned with 290 Assorted Cod, 20 Vermillion & 1 Ling Cod keeper(40 undersized Ling were returned)
07 - 02 - 2011 -- The Weather Made for a Very Challenging Day of Rock Cod Fishing today. The 25 anglers aboard 'CHUBASCO' ended their day with 190 Cod, 18 Vermillion & No Ling Cod Keepers after returning 12 Short Ling. The 13 Anglers aboard the 'SUR RANDY' had 130 Rock Cod, 15 Vermillion and No Ling after returning 6 Short Ling. All - in - All Not too Bad considering the Challenges
07 - 01 - 2011 -- The Rock Fishing Today was really Good! Only had 5 People on the 'CHUBASCO' and they Returned Early with Their Limits of Cod, 2 Ling Cod & 20 Large Sand Dabs. Great Way to Star a Holiday Weekend! :)
06 - 30 - 2011 -- Monterey Bay Fishing Aboard the 'Chubasco' Yielded Limits of some Very Nice Rock Cod including 25 Vermillion (aka Red Snapper) & 3 Ling Cod. The Weather was really Good with No wind & pretty Flat Seas
06 - 29 - 2011 -- The 22 Anglers Aboard 'Chubasco' Had a Full Day of Good old Fashioned Rock Cod Fishing resulting in Limits for all which included 20 Vermillion and 1 Ling Cod!
06 - 28 - 2011 -- A Private Afternoon Fishing Charter aboard the 'CHUBASCO' for Matt Canonica and his Fun, Good Natured Group of Guys from 'Terminix' yielded quite a bit of Rock Cod. In 4 hours they went from a Sunny Afternoon to a Rainy one & still Managed to Land 125 assorted Cod including 20 Vermillion and returned 6 short Ling Cod
06 - 26 - 2011 -- The vessel 'Sur Randy' ventured out for some Monterey Fishing and Caught Limits of Very Nice assorted Rock Cod for their 24 Anglers. Limits included about 50 Vermillion (aka-Red Snapper). Also had 6 Ling Cod Keepers after returning 40 short ones. A Great Day on Monterey Bay !!
06 - 25 - 2011 -- The Local Monterey Fishing has been better than Big Sur Fishing lately. Todays Group of 31 Anglers aboard the 'Chubasco' realized that with their limits of assorted Cod including 35 Vermillion. After Returning 30 undersized Ling Cod, There was only 1 Keeper Ling - The Best Part of that is that a Young Girl(8-10 years old) on Her FIRST Fishing Trip was One that Kept That Nice Ling.
06 - 22 - 2011 -- 'Chubasco' had Limits of Rock Cod with 26 Nice Vermillion - No Ling Cod today - but 10 Undersized Lings were returned to the Monterey Bay to grow larger for Monterey Fishing
06 - 21 - 2011 -- A very small Group on the 'Chubasco' for a day of Monterey Fishing - The 5 Anglers worked the day & Had their Limits plus 3 Ling Cod keepers.
06 - 20 - 2011 -- Rock Cod Fishing was good Today with limits of Rock Cod for the 14 Anglers aboard the 'CHUBASCO' which included 90 assorted Rock Cod, 50 Vermillion(often called 'Red Snapper') plus 8 Ling Keepers (6 Short Ling Returned) Even had Good Weather until the Afternoon.
06 - 19 - 2011 -- Father's Day Fishing proved to be an Interesting Day for the Rock Cod Fishery - With No Wind, but a Large Swell - the 20 Anglers aboard the 'CHUBASCO' ended their Day with about 150 cod, 12 Ling Cod & 23 Vermillion

07 - 23 - 2011 -- While we did not get Limits there is Still Salmon Activity in the Monterey Bay - after returning 20-30 'Short' Salmon the Day ended with 11 Keepers for the 25 Anglers aboard the 'SUR RANDY'
07 - 22 - 2011 -- 'Chubasco' had an interesting day with a Lot of Salmon Activity - Had to Return 40 'shakers' but at the end of their day they had 20 Keepers for 20 Anglers - Not a Bad Day!
07 - 21 - 2011 -- The Salmon Fishery proved to be interesting as the anglers experienced a lot of chances to catch and ended their Day with 13 Salmon + 1 Ling Cod for 13 Anglers aboard 'CHUBASCO' and 6 Salmon for the 11 anglers aboard 'SUR RANDY'

07 - 17 - 2011 -- Still some Salmon Action - The 25 Anglers aboard the 'SUR RANDY' had 9 Salmon for their Day after returning 16 Shakers and 4 Losses
07 - 16 - 2011 -- Tougher Day for the Salmon Fishing- the 21 Anglers aboard the 'Sur Randy' Experienced a Little Action, but only returned with 6 King Salmon after returning 5 'shakers' and losing 2 others. We will try again tomorrow
07 - 15 - 2011 -- The Salmon Fishing proved to be challenging Today with 'mediocre' action and quite a few flurries said Captain Brian of the 'CHUBASCO'. After a long day the end result was 13 Salmonfor the 23 anglers. That's Fishing - Tomorrow is another day!
07 - 14 - 2011 -- SO Much Salmon Action in the Monterey Bay! A Very Productive Day with LIMITS aboard the Chubasco
07 - 13 - 2011 -- A lot of Salmon action for the 16 Anglers aboard 'Chubasco'. After quite a few misses and 22 'shaker' returns they ended their day with 26 Nice Salmon - just a few shy of boat limits.
07 - 12 - 2011 -- The Monterey Bay Sport Fishing arena showed FABULOUS Salmon Action Today - 'CHUBASCO' with its 12 Anglers returned With LIMITS and the 8 Anglers aboard the 'SUR RANDY returned with 11 BEAUTIFUL SALMON. The Day Involved quite a few Losses also -

07 - 02 - 2011 -- A Salmon boat Did make it out today - The Anglers had a Lot of Activity, but faced with the same Weather Challenges they ended their day with only 8 Salmon. ACTIVITY is GOOD - THAT MEANS THERE IS FISH!!!

06 - 10 - 2011 -- After hearing a few Promising Rumors, Captain Brian and a Few Crew Members took the 'CHUBASCO' for an 'Exploratory' Salmon Trip. Nothing Yet but they will continue to Check for a Positive outcome
05 - 31 - 2011 -- No More Salmon Trips for Now - Salmon Has been Very Poor and not worth pursuing at this point. Once We see that Salmon is Worth Fishing For we will Post More news & Trips.
05 - 25 - 2011 -- The "Sur Randy" Had a 9 Man Salmon Charter today - Salmon is Very Poor so they switched to Rock Cod - Returned w/75 Cod, 2 Vermillion & Returned 7 Short Ling. The Guys had a Great Time!
05 - 07 - 2011 -- Not much in the way of Salmon Fishing Lately - Salmon have been very Slow and the Peoples Choice for Now is Rock Cod Fishing
05 - 02 - 2011 -- The 11 Anglers aboard the Chubasco returned with only 1 Salmon today.

04 - 15 - 2011 -- Good Weather! Chubasco returned with 1 Mighty Salmon after throwing back 4 for 11 Anglers.
04 - 13 - 2011 -- A Tough Day! Returned with 3 Salmon for 13 Anglers aboard the Chubasco Today. Taking a Break tomorrow and going for the Gusto again on Friday.
04 - 12 - 2011 Only 2 Beautiful Salmon Today for 6 Anglers with 3 'Shakers' and a lot of Bites.
04 -10 - 2011 -- The 6 Anglers aboard the 'Chubasco' returned with only 1 Salmon today after returning 4 'Shakers' and Missing quite alot of bites.
04 - 09 - 2011 -- Another Day. Weather was Good then turned windy by afternoon. Only a few Fish landed after releasing 3 'Shakers' and losing 2. The End result being 3 Salmon for 21 Anglers aboard the Chubasco.
04 - 08 - 2011 -- After yesterdays terrible weather we were able to get out & do some Salmon Fishing today with some fairly decent weather. 'Chubasco' ended the day with a count of 7 Salmon (averaging 12 pounds), threw back 2 and missed 5. Not a bad day for the 9 anglers.
04 - 06 - 2011 -- The day started out nice then the weather turned and made the day very challenging. The 'Chubasco' had 7 Anglers and Returned with 2 nice Salmon. There were missed bites and 2 'shakers' were thrown back, So there is opportunity.
04 - 05 - 2011 -- Challenging Day! Alot of Wind! What a difference a day makes. After having to throw back 6 'shakers' the Chubasco returned with 7 Salmon. Tomorrow is another Day.
04 - 04 - 2011 -- A Wonderful Day with Fab Weather! 'Chubasco' Had 14 very Fine Salmon averaging 12 pounds each.
04 - 03- 2011 -- Anglers aboard the 'Chubasco'
returned from a full day of Salmon Fishing with 16 Beautiful Salmon averaging 12 pounds each. The Weather was less challenging. With a Good Morning Bite, plenty of action slowing down by afternoon it still proved to be a productive day.
04 - 02 - 2011 -- The Salmon Fishing Opened with quite a bit of Activity with Salmon scattered throughout the Bay. The Boats returned with some very Nice Salmon today - even after throwing back alot of under sized Salmon. This New Season is off to a Great Start!
