Our Captains have been examined, Certified Competent, issued a Masters License by the United States Coast Guard and have been operating vessels to carry ‘Passengers for Hire’ through out the course of the last 30+ years.
Their Expertise and Ability to Operate a Vessel is Exceptional.

Brian CuttingBrian Cutting, Captain of the 'CHUBASCO', has been a member of the fishing community all his life and his love of fishing had been instilled at a very early age. Brian and his father, a commercial fisherman and a charter boat operator from Westport, WA, relocated to the Monterey Bay during the 1980’s where they continued their venture as commercial fishermen. At the age of 23, Brian began working on the local charter boats as a deckhand and within 5 years earned his Masters License and operated charter boats throughout the Monterey Bay. In the Year 2001 Brian started working with Randy’s filling in as a deckhand and as an alternate Skipper. By the summer of 2006 Brian took full command of the ‘Sur Randy’ then in 2009 began operating the 'Chubasco' on a fulltime basis. His knowledge, strong desire for customer satisfaction, dedication and personality makes him a valued member of the Randy’s Team as well as an asset to our valued guests.
