Our Captains have been examined, Certified Competent, issued a Masters License by the United States Coast Guard
and have been operating vessels to carry ‘Passengers for Hire’ through out the course of the last 30+ years.

Brent Williamson arrived in Monterey as a young boy from Illinois when his Father was transferred to Fort Ord. His love of fishing, nature, history and the beauty that surrounds us here in Monterey Bay eventually led him to Randy’s where he began his career as deck hand and eventually acquired the 100 Gross Ton Masters License.
Having been with us since 1969 has proved to be a tremendous asset not only to Randy’s but to all our special guests. Brent exhibits true dedication, enthusiasm, experience, hard work, humor and knowledge that enables him to have the special ability of doing a great job for our guests.
Brian Cutting has been a member of the fishing community all his life and his love of fishing had been instilled at a very early age. Brian and his father, a commercial fisherman and a charter boat operator from Westport, WA, relocated to the Monterey Bay during the 1980’s where they continued their venture as commercial fishermen. At the age of 23, Brian began working on the local charter boats as a deckhand and within 5 years earned his Masters License and operated charter boats throughout the Monterey Bay. In the Year 2001 Brian started working with Randy’s filling in as a deckhand and as an alternate Skipper. By the summer of 2006 Brian took full command of the ‘Sur Randy’. His knowledge, strong desire for customer satisfaction, dedication and personality makes him a valued member of the Randy’s Team as well as an asset to our valued guests.
